'True Blood' star Nelsan Ellis dead at 39

The sassy, comedic, and all around heart and soul of the hit TV series True Blood, Nelsan Ellis, is dead at the young age of 39.

Details of Ellis' passing are scarce, but the Hollywood Reporter reports that the actor's manager, Emily Gerson Saines, says Ellis "passed away after complications with heart failure." 

Fans of True Blood will remember Ellis' portrayal of the character Lafayette Reynolds, who traveled between the worlds of humans of vampires with equal grace, as one of the best parts of the series. 

Although the show was known for its campiness, Lafayette was a character who delivered laughs as a drug dealer and cook, but also struggled with addiction (to vampire blood), and always pushed back in elegant yet tough fashion against conservative southern (where the story was set) attitudes toward the LGBTQ community.  Read more...

Matt LeBlanc Races James Corden On Children’s Scooters

How you drivin’? On Tuesday night, Friends alum Matt LeBlanc visited The Late Late Show. LeBlanc and British host James Corden have a lot in common these days now that the actor now hosts the U.K. racing show, Top Gear.

So to keep him on his toes, Corden decided to host his own race (with a twist!) inside his CBS studio.

“I have challenged Matt to a Top Gear-inspired race using these state-of-the-art children’s scooters,” Corden said, sitting atop a lavender-colored tiny scooter with a British flag on the front. “It’s time for Bottom Gear!”

LeBlanc rode on the same scooter with an American flag out front and both men attached GoPro cameras to their helmets.

They then “sped” off through the studio, dodging silly string, foam blocks and water balloons. Ultimately, LeBlanc passed Corden and won the race, which shouldn’t come as a surprise.

The Episodes star revealed that he set a track record on Top Gear while Corden admitted that when he was on the show he came in 75th.

When asked about driving the U.K. versus America, LeBlanc said, “The roads [in America] are so much wider. In the U.K., in London, the roads are so narrow because they were built for horses and carts, I guess. So here if you make a mistake and go wide you’ll maybe hit a tree and some bushes. Over there you get wide you hit a thousand-year-old church!”

‘Narcos’ Star Has Blockbuster Announcement To Make On ‘Chelsea&#8217

Fans have been desperate to see the story of notorious cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar continue to play out in the second season of Netflix’s “Narcos” and now that we finally know the return date — Sept. 2, 2016 — star Wagner Moura appears on tomorrow’s episode of “Chelsea” with a big announcement to make.

“When you were growing up, you were aware of Pablo Escobar, right? You remember when he died, when he was killed?” asks Handler.

“Though I’m Brazilian and it’s kind of close to Colombia, I didn’t know much about Pablo Escobar,” recalls the “Narcos” star. “I remember when I was a kid, I remember the image of the fat guy on the rooftop. I remember that I thought, ‘He is really fat.’ That was my kid’s imagination. Basically everything I know about him now today I learned by just researching about him for the show.”

Expounding on the second season, Moura declares: “It’s a really cool season. It’s all about Pablo on the run because the first season covers like 10 years of Pablo’s life

from the first day he sees cocaine for the first time until the day he escapes from La Catedral, so it is like 10 years. And now it’s very short…”
